Privacy Policies
The Hollywood Vine <HollywoodVine.com> wishes to encourage correspondence by respecting the privacy of all correspondents, regardless of who you are. Thus we wish to make our privacy standards clear.
Any comments or tips that we receive, are presumed to be for publication and thus may be published unless you request otherwise with a particular communication. For instance, we may at some point publish feedback about our web site and attribute sources for some of the comments we receive. Please request anonimity as needed, when you want it. But regardless, we are (usually) not looking to publish secrets, trash, or dish about stars.
The Hollywood Vine generally does not send bulk email to anyone. And likewise, we do not share our email address lists to any marketers or third parties. We rarely if ever publish email addresses on our web site. And if we do so, they would not be derived from private email correspondence. The reason we do not publish email addresses is specifically to avoid attracting automated spammers who typically use programs to gather email addresses from web sites. For further protection, we avoid certain popular software commonly blamed for being prone to email-viruses that gather email addresses. And we mostly use Apple Macintosh computers in conjunction with web-based email such as Yahoo, usually without storing most email lists on our machines. This all helps to assure less chance that the privacy of our email addresses might be compromised. In essence, we normally don't use email addresses for marketing. If that ever changes, and it's unlikely, then we will let you know here on this page.
The Hollywood Vine is committed to a high ethical standard of respect for privacy. We believe that privacy today has unfortunately become an exception to the rule. But we still believe in it and always will.
